First things first, welcome and we are thrilled that you found our little corner of the internet! While I was in the Navy, Lindsay and I had some pretty cool opportunities and that is where we discovered our shared love of whiskey and movies. When you move every few years it gives you plenty of chances to visit locations all over the country to try new things. We decided to start this blog now that I am out of the service, to share some of our favorite stories, mostly involving whiskey, that we’ve had together. We thought it would be fun to write them down to not only preserve them for us but to share them with others.
There will be posts that will be short reviews of a specific whiskey so you can judge our unprofessional and untrained opinions against your own. Others will be full-fledged stories of debauchery and maybe...murder! Okay, most likely not those things but hey at least I have your attention now. Much more likely the other posts will be special stories relating to one of the whiskeys we are presenting. Also, because I am pretty sure I have undiagnosed ADD, we will also throw in some stories and reviews of our favorite movies at no extra cost! To keep those on brand we will recommend a whiskey pairing to enjoy while you watch the movie.
Our goal is to try and post every other week on Monday mornings but we will play it by ear. I can't think of a better way to start your week then reading a blog post from a random couple! Overall, we are just as curious as you to see how this evolves but are really happy you are sharing the journey with us. Let’s raise a glass, clink them together, and enjoy the ride!
